The Cancún Agreements: Good or Bad for Climate Change?

Lawrence G. Ang

Lawrence Ang is currently the knowledge leader in REDD+ at the Ateneo School of Government, where he is a research associate. Having formerly worked at the Philippine Climate Change Commission, Lawrence was and continues to be integral towards the development and implementation of the country’s National REDD+ Strategy where he sits as a member of its national working group. He also consults for the private sector on integrating climate change and innovations into business development and due diligence, is a member of the UN-REDD Expert Group on Monitoring Forest Governance, as well as a member of the Philippine Delegation to the UNFCCC for REDD+ and LULUCF issues. Lawrence holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Development Studies from the Australian National University, and is a recipient of the 2008 M. R. Jacobs Prize for Silviculture.


Joanne C. Dulce

Joanne Dulce is a Senior Associate in the Ateneo School of Government and the Director of the School’s Climate Change Program. As knowledge leader in the School on climate change, Joanne combines her experience on climate change policy, energy, disaster risk management policy, and adaptation. She is a member of the Philippine Delegation to the UN Climate Change Talk, focusing on adaptation. Prior to ASoG, she worked as a program manager in three development projects that focused on energy and power reforms. She is an alumna of the Ateneo School of Government, graduating with a degree on Masters in Public Management. She holds a Bachelor’s Degree on Political Science from University of the Philippines.
