About Osmania University

Osmania University was established at Hyderabad in 1918 and is one of the oldest learning centers in India. Ever since its inception, the university showed remarkable progress, sustained an integrated development of all disciplines. Through multi-faceted range of programmes in Arts, Humanities, Basic Sciences, Social Sciences, Law, Engineering, Technology, Commerce & Business Management, sound infrastructure and excellent faculty, the University has carved a niche for itself in the field of academic learning and research.

About The Department of Physics

When Osmania University was established during 1918-1919, Physics was one of the first few science subjects that were introduced. From then, the Department has grown enormously in strength and diversity and it has emerged as one of the centers of excellence in Physics in the country. In the campus department, the specializations offered include: Electronics–Instrumentation, Materials Science and Solid State Physics. In addition, M.Sc. (Applied Electronics) and M.Sc. (Nano Science) are also offered. In the constituent colleges, Biophysics, Condensed Matter Physics, Electronics (Communication System) and Microwaves are offered as specializations. The Department is recognized under UGC-SAP and DST-FIST.

Scope of the Conference

The conventional energy resources are rapidly being consumed in the developed countries, while many developing countries still lack sustainable and reliable energy supply systems. Some Renewable Energy Technologies are mature, environmentally friendly and highly appropriate for such developing countries. Of late solar energy and sustainable technologies are extensively used in industry and for the betterment of the society.

This international conference aims at bringing together academicians, scientists and technologists working in universities, research institutes and industries at same platform to share their experiences, knowledge and expertise. The focus of the conference will be on all the facets of current and emerging solar technologies and related issues for application in industry and society.

Call for Abstracts

In addition to the invited papers, contributed papers on all aspects of renewable energy will be accepted. The primary themes of the conference cover a broad range of topics on energy resources, energy conversion and storage technologies. The main themes include, Photovoltaic Materials and Devices, Biofuels and Alternatives, Solar Thermal, Solar Energy Application for Food Processing and Conservation, Solar Energy Applications in Agriculture, Fuel Cells, Nanosolar, Nanostructured Materials for Energy

Full length papers and abstracts should be prepared in Microsoft Word Document, Times New Roman, Font size 12. All the abstracts and full papers may be sent to the Conference Chair by the due date.
